JSS Mahavidyapeetha’s fervent longing to guide and serve the society has enabled it to spread its presence all over the globe. Under the benevolent guidance of present pontiff Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital (JSSAMCH) was established in the year 1996-97 by JSS Mahavidyapeetha.

Institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Science (RGUHS), Bangalore & has the approval from Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi.

COURSE OFFERED:

B.A.M.S (Duration: 4 ½ years)

The institute offers bachelor degree course in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S). The total intake for BAMS is limited to 50.

ABOUT INSTITUTE:

JSSAMCH is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi and affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore, and is known for its commitment to offer best-in-class education and has shaped the career of several hundreds of ayurveda students.

The institution is spread over 15 acres of land and situated at the foot of Chamundi Hills. It is also in close proximity to the magnificent Lalith Mahal Hotel.

JSSAMC&H is fully equipped to cater to the rising need for ayurveda education and ayurveda healhcare services. The institution has an excellent team of teaching faculty and a sophisticated hospital offering an array of therapies

Library & Information Centre

The college library occupies 6000 sq ft with a seating capacity of 200 students. It has two sections; reference & lending. Our Library is a member of HELINET.

The Library is well furnished, maintained and stocked with more than 10,000 Books, back volumes, about 25 National & Internationals journals, magazines, newspapers and other information resources. It is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on working days and 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on holidays. It offers various useful information services for the benefit of staff and students.
