N.K. Jabshetty Ayurvedic Medical College & Post Graduate Centre, Bidar is a premier centre for Ayurvedic Medical Education and Research. It was established by Sri Chidambara Shikshana Samsthe headed by Param Poojya Sri Sri Shiva Kumar Swamiji of Sri Siddharudh Math with the aim to provide professional education to the students and effective health care system to the suffering humanity of this region and also to propagate the ancient Indian System of Medicine i.e., Ayurveda with the motto “Health for All” On 19th September 1991, the college was inaugurated by Sri Shivraj Patil, the Honorable Speaker of Lok Sabha and then came into existence with the concurrence of Govt. of Karnataka.

Institutre is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Science (RGUHS), Bangalore & has the approval from Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi.

The college maintains highest quality of teaching & training in the system of Ayurveda with a modern and scientific outlook. By this approach the college has produced meritorious graduates with high success rate.For the undergraduates the College has full-fledged 14 departments provided with highly qualified & experienced teaching faculty.
The teaching and training aids such as models, exhibits, charts, specimens and audio- visual aids like slides, transparency sheets, audio & videocassettes, CD’s, OHP, LCD Projector and full fledge system in each department are available in the college.
Departmental Library is also maintained in all the departments.Separate departments for Postgraduate studies in Shalya Tantra, Prasuti Tantra & Stree Roga, Pancha Karma and Sharir Rachana are fully equipped with all the necessary and requisite infrastructures.
